These terms govern your use of the Expense Admin app for iPhone, shown as Expenses on the home screen, and this website. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The short version

• Expense Admin records what you type in. It is not financial, tax or accounting advice.
• It is sold as is. We do not promise that receipt scanning reads a number correctly, or that the app stays available.
• The app is free; Pro is bought and refunded through Apple.
• Your expenses live on your device. We cannot see them and cannot get them back for you.

Not financial or tax advice

Expense Admin is a place to record spending and set budgets for yourself. It is not a bookkeeping system, not an accounting record and not a source of financial or tax advice. Its totals, budgets and warnings are arithmetic on the figures you entered, nothing more, and they take no account of your circumstances.

Do not rely on it for a tax return, an expense claim, an audit or any other filing. If money decisions depend on these numbers, check them against your bank statements and receipts, and talk to an accountant or tax adviser. What you do with the figures is your decision and your responsibility.

What Expense Admin does not promise

Expense Admin is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it is free of bugs, that it will work on every device or iOS version, or that it will stay available. Receipt scanning is automated and makes mistakes: it can misread an amount, a date or a currency, so check what it captured before relying on it. Siri and Shortcuts requests are handled by Apple and may not always be understood as you intended. Budget warnings are a convenience, not a guarantee that you will be alerted in time.

Using the app

You get a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use Expense Admin on devices you own or control, for as long as you comply with these terms. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where the law expressly allows it. The app, its name, its icon and its design remain ours.

Purchases

Expense Admin is free to download. Expenses Pro is bought inside the app through the App Store, as a subscription or a one-time purchase, and the payment, the receipt and any renewal are handled by Apple, not by us. Prices are shown before you confirm.

A subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and you manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. Refunds are granted by Apple under their own policy, so refund requests go to Apple. Your statutory consumer rights under Austrian and EU law are not affected by anything in this section.

Your data

Your expenses, categories and budgets are stored on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own private iCloud database. We cannot read them, and we cannot restore them for you. Deleting the app, losing the device or turning off sync can lose your records for good, so export a CSV or keep a device backup if they matter. The privacy policy explains what is and is not collected.

Liability

We are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damage.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Austrian Product Liability Act and mandatory consumer protection rules. Where a term of these conditions turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address, with the date at the top, and continuing to use Expense Admin after a change means you accept it. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in your own country's courts.
