Privacy notice

This notice covers the Burnd website and the Burnd app for iPhone. The short version: there is no account, no tracking and no analytics, and your workouts stay on your device.

The website

This website is a static page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and collects no data about you. The only third party request it makes is for the Manrope web font, which is loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser sends its IP address to Google to fetch the font. Google's privacy policy applies to that request.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Like any web host, GitHub records technical details of each request (such as IP address, time, requested page and browser) in server logs to run and secure the service. We have no access to these logs. See GitHub's privacy statement for details.

The app

• Burnd has no user accounts and no sign in.
• The app collects no usage data, no crash reports and no analytics, and it sends nothing to the developer.
• Your workouts, templates and history are stored on your iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled, they sync through your own private iCloud container, which we cannot access. Apple's privacy policy applies to that sync.
• The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. Nothing about it is sent anywhere.

Purchases

Burnd is free to download, and Burnd Premium is sold through the App Store. Apple processes your payment details and Apple ID under Apple's privacy policy. The developer receives no personal data from a purchase.

Purchases are managed with RevenueCat, which lets the same purchase work across your devices. Burnd identifies you to RevenueCat only by a randomly generated identifier derived from your iCloud account. No name, email address or contact detail is sent. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for what they store.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to complain to a data protection authority (in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde). Since we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing to access or delete. If you email us for support, we keep your message only as long as needed to answer it.
